4. Run Sn0wbreeze, give it the iOS 5.0.1 .IPSW file
5. From the settings choose wisely the stuff you need. Go to Expert Mode for “preserve your baseband” option if you are a rebel micro sim user.
6. Wait for Sn0wbreezed to cook the custom iOS 5.0.1 file.
7. Open iTunes 10.5, connect your device and use “Shift + Restore” button and give it the custom iOS 5.0.1 beta 1 file you cooked earlier (should be on your desktop).
8. Wait for iTunes to restore the device to iOS 5.0.1 custom .ipsw file.
9. Activate your phone with an orignal simcard from the network it was locked when sold and you are ready unlock with rebel micro simcards after activation is complete.
10. Point to note when unlocking iOs 5.01. in the instructions all is the same but at the point when the rebel menu loads and you press accept and in the top left hand corner of the screen you wont see the one bar like this . . instead you will see the message no service. proceed in the same way as in the user guide and all will work and get network.
11. You can use other tools also to perform the baseband downgrade to 04.10.01 on a mac and use tools like redsnow.
The current IOS 5.0 firmware makes an update to the iPhone 4 baseband. This new baseband version, 04.11.08, blocks the Rebel Micro Unlock Simcards and we are looking in this and can take some time.
If, like many others you have updated to IOS 5.0 and find you are not able to unlock this new baseband 04.11.08. You may also want to be able to restore back to a previously unlock able 04.10.01 baseband on your iPhone on the 4.3.5 iOS firmware. For now it is possible to downgrade the baseband to 04.10.01 by downgrading back to 4.3.5 firmware using the restore process.
IMPORTANT NOTE - This method will only work whilst Apple is still signing the 4.3.5 firmware and its associated 04.10.01 baseband. Do hurry up as Apple can close the 4.3.5 signing window any time and then this method will cease to work.
2. Connect your iPhone to your PC or MAC and put it into DFU mode. We have a guide here if you need assistance
4. Open iTunes, which will recognise your iPhone in recovery mode, acknowledge the message about this, then press shift and keep press on the keyboard and on the screen with the mouse button press restore (Windows) or option-restore (OSX), and select the 4.3.5 firmware you downloaded in step 1.
5. If you followed the instructions, the restore to 4.3.5 should now complete without any errors. When it is complete you will have a stock 4.3.5 iPhone 4 again with a downgraded 04.10.01 baseband.
Remember, the baseband cannot normally be downgraded, however because Apple are signing the firmwares, and their associated basebands, it is possible, but only until normally after a week of the official release of 5.0.
Apple has recently made available the latest iOS 5 GM (Golden Master) version to Apple developers. This is the last beta of iOS 5 from Apple. This is only available to developers yet.
The full and final version of the iOS will be available on 12th October 2011 to everyone.

Using this file you can update your iPhone 4 in Itunes via the Restore Function an then still use the Latest iOS 5.0 beta 6 software and still be able to unlock your iPhone 4 using the Rebel Micro Unlock Simcards.
Some Differences in the instructions
The unlock instructions are still the same but one thing to note is this. Once you power on the iPhone 4 with your desired network simcard and the Rebel Micro unlock simcard you will see a pop up Menu as normal and select the Accept option on the Rebel Xpress & the Init112 option on the Rebel Pro micro sim.
Up to this point when you press the Accept or Init112 option you would normally see the state of the iPhone to show only 1 Bar. This option to show the 1 Bar is no longer working the same way when unlocking iPhone 4 iOs Beta 6 with the preserved Baseband 04.10.01 version.
When you now press Accept or Init112 you will see the top left hand corner status change from searching to No service Only.
Proceed as normal with the Rebel Micro sim instructions and all else will work the same way its working for you now with Lower version of the iOS firmwares.
